We reported on June 5th that a settlement had been reached, according to La Russa, with Twitter agreeing to pay his legal fees. Twitter, however, disagreed - they fired back with a blog post explaining that they had no plans to settle as the St. Louis Cardinals manager had claimed. "Mr. La Russa’s lawsuit was an unnecessary waste of judicial resources bordering on frivolous. Twitter’s Terms of Service are fair and we believe will be upheld in a court that will ultimately dismiss Mr. La Russa’s lawsuit", the posting read.
