[img src="" caption="" credit="" alt=""]Twitter Local is a really neat Twitter tool that takes a location, postal code or a state, together with a mile radius, and spits out an RSS or XML feed with tweets from that area. For example, here's an RSS feed with tweets in a 10 mile radius from Los Angeles, California.
It comes in two flavors: you can either use a simple but perfectly functional web form (over here,) or you can download an Adobe Air application which does the same but with a couple more options - you can send tweets from it, or follow your friends/replies similar to Twhirl. Unfortunately, the AIR application didn't work all that well for me; for example I had to restart it a couple of times to get the tweets to show up, and it doesn't allow resizing over a certain, quite limited vertical size.
