Moments, Twitter's news stream curated by humans that launched in early October, aims to help users discover the latest in news, sports, fun and entertainment.

Now, the company has launched a TV ad to show how the new feature can help you keep up with the baseball World Series (if you have no idea what the ad is talking about, that's likely because the Moments feature is currently only available in the U.S.).

Premiering during yesterday's MLB game, it's everything baseball is not -- fast, frantic and frenzied.

Home runs, strikeouts, close calls, and more — catch the new way to get the best of the #WorldSeries on Twitter. https://t.co/DkuQ9Q74ug— Twitter (@twitter) October 28, 2015

The ad got mixed reviews from Twitter users, with some praising the fast-paced spot, and others claiming it's "incomprehensible" and "weird."

I showed the Twitter Moments ad to a normal, not-on-Twitter human being and I am pretty sure we aren't friends anymore— mat honan (@mat) October 28, 2015

Here's why I hope Twitter's new TV ad really works to pull in tons of people: https://t.co/KMRKX3OOOv— Marshall Kirkpatrick (@marshallk) October 28, 2015

Twitter’s ad during the World Series: incomprehensible. Someone should be fired.— John Gruber (@gruber) October 28, 2015

This new Twitter ad. No idea who they’re trying to appeal to. Such weird.— John Lilly (@johnolilly) October 28, 2015

Though not the first TV ad from Twitter -- the social network ran a TV spot during the 2012 Pocono 400 NASCAR race -- it's notable because Twitter doesn't advertise much on TV. Perhaps it's an answer to the slowing user growth problem that's been plaguing Twitter in the last few quarters -- the users just aren't flocking to the network as they used to.
