Twitter Is 'Cyber Drug of Choice' in 2007 News Report

In 2007, CBS 5 San Francisco investigated "an incredibly strange thing" called Twitter. Viewers learned the meaning of "a Twitter" from experts like Robert Scoble, who boasted an impressive 2,000 followers at the time of broadcast (he now has almost 300,000).

The report described the weird world of 140 characters as an "addictive concoction of blogs, Google maps, personal websites and text messaging." Scared yet? Get this: you can tweet from anywhere. Even from your Cingular RAZR.

Prepare for a twip down memory lane (it was still cool to put "tw" in front of words in 2007) with this piece of social networking nostalgia.
