Join Twitter Today! Recruiting Video Is So Bad It's Good

During Twitter's official 2012 Hack Week, one project was to make the "best/worst recruiting video of all time." Consider that challenge successfully completed.

The result, a video by Twitter employees Ian Padgham and Jeremy Briggs, has since gone viral. Uploaded to YouTube on Friday, it gained nearly half a million pageviews over the weekend.

Titled "At Twitter, The Future is You!", the video requires a new word to describe it -- one that combines "awesome" and "awful", perhaps. (Awesomeful, anyone?)

The low-budget film is in the corny style of an old-school training video. It features flying words, exaggerated acting and creative use of various job descriptions. We particularly enjoyed the depiction of Twitter's back-end engineers.

For this year's Hack Week, Twitter employees formed almost 100 teams of coders and developers to build projects for the company with no input from management.
