Twitter, which has so far kept its feature set to a minimum, launched a new one today: a people search engine to find your friends on Twitter. Just type a name and hit "follow" next to the user to subscribe to their channel. Search is visible at the bottom of the right sidebar when logged in.
It's easy to point out however, what this isn't: it isn't a Twitter search engine, although many such tools have been developed by third parties already. As a result, it's fairly underwhelming.
