TypePad, the popular blogging platform, has just launched TypePad Mobile, an application for Windows Mobile, Palm and Symbian Series 60 smartphones that lets you post blog entries and photos to your TypePad blogs and photo albums. The new product stems from their acquisition of SplashBlog, a developer of mobile applications.
This is a much-needed feature for modern blog platforms, and it seems likely that it will be used largely for photo-blogging. I wonder if there are any Flickr users who will now post images directly to their TypePad blogs, rather than going through Flickr.
