Gabriel Pate and his U2 cover band Acrobat lived out every cover artist's wildest dream this week.
The rockers got the chance to perform alongside the musicians they imitate when Bono surprisingly brought them onstage at Air Canada Arena in Toronto to perform the 1988 classic crowdpleaser "Desire" -- dueling harmonicas and all.
"Bono looked over and pointed at Mark [Baker] and myself and said, 'You got the whole band here? Okay, let's go'," Pate wrote in an essay, recapping what happened Monday night, for Rolling Stone.
