UPDATE: More good news for fans of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: The show has been renewed for a third season.

The news was broken ahead of a panel for the show at the Television Critics Association press tour.

PASADENA, California -- Your April just became much more awesome.

Netflix has announced that the sophomore season of breakout hit Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will debut April 15 at 12:01 a.m. PT.

That means by the time Season 2 lands on online, it will have been more than a year since Kimmy first came into our lives. Season 1 debuted in March.

That, of course, is of no concern to Netflix, who has seen the success of this Tina Fey-produced comedy stretch for months since its debut.

The show's freshman season scored seven Emmy nominations last year and Ellie Kemper is up for a Critic Choice Award next month.

The Season 2 premiere date was just one of several notable dates announced by the streaming network on Sunday during its panel at the Television Critics Association press tour, where later in the day cast members will be on hand to talk about the new season.

Other notable dates:

Orange is the New Black Season 4 drops June 17.

Ashton Kutcher's The Ranch premieres April 1.

Season 2 of Grace & Frankie debuts May 6.

The eight-episode first season of Stranger Things, starring Winona Ryder, hits the service July 15.

Part 1 of Baz Luhrmann's The Get Down debuts Aug. 12 at 12:01am PT
