Shelve whatever Halloween costume you'd whipped up for your kid because this one is gold. GOLD.

Illustrator Kiersten Essenpreis dressed her 7-month-old son Harlan as the the ultimate Seinfeld reference: Uncle Leo with drawn-on eyebrows. To complete the joke, she dressed as Elaine and her husband Wes dressed as Leo's physician.

Essenpreis tells Mashable that the idea came to her last Halloween when she was still pregnant. "I thought, 'If he's still bald by Halloween, we're doing it!'" she said. "Luckily he sort of was."

A convincing Uncle Leo costume proved somewhat simple to craft. For Leo's hair and sideburns, Essenpreis trimmed hair from a grey costume wig and attached them to skin-safe double-stick tape. For the eyebrows she used black scrapbooking paper attached with double-stick tape.

"Everything was attached so lightly, he didn't even notice it," she said. "The hardest part was actually finding a purple turtleneck onesie for him, convincing my husband to shave his beard ... and wig for me."

"Surprisingly, he was super chill about the whole thing... At least until we revealed the costume to family [and] friends, and they laughed so hard he got frightened," she added.
