LONDON -- Victoria station was evacuated Friday morning after an unexploded World War II bomb was discovered on a nearby building site.
Armed police officers were reportedly on the scene as commuters were made to leave the station shortly before 10 a.m.
"Officers are in attendance at a building site on Terminus Place following the discovery of what is believed to be World War 2 ordnance," the Metropolitan Police tweeted. A spokesperson confirmed the discovery to Mashable.

Later in the morning roads and the station reopened and the police said the incident had been "stood down."
