Dogster, the biggest social networking site for pets, has been on a tear, recently passing the 500,000 user mark. Hoping to follow in their footsteps, Ambient Sound Investments, a group led by several founding Skype engineers, has invested in United Dogs & Cats, Ltd.
The company offers two web sites, UnitedDogs and UnitedCats, where pet owners can create homepages dedicated to their animals. The company is based in Estonia, and also announced new versions of their sites in German, French, Dutch, and Latvian.
