Parts of England are underwater as the River Thames burst its banks and water levels continue to rise to record levels.

As of Monday afternoon local time, the UK Environment Agency had issued 14 severe warnings throughout coastal areas along riverside towns upstream of London, including Staines, Chertsey and Datchet. Prime Minister David Cameron is traveling through Portland, which is just south of Weymouth, to survey the damage. Some major urban areas, including Worcester, could be closed for a week.

Britain in January saw the heaviest rainfall since 1760.
