Massive Thanksgiving Storm Pummels the U.S.

A mega storm system is moving over the United States this week, downing power lines, icing over roads and threatening Thanksgiving travel plans.

The storm pummeled parts of California and Texas, leaving in its wake more than 100 wrecks and claiming at least 14 lives. Now, the system has moved into the South, where torrential rains are turning into sleet. By the time the winter storm completes its journey on Thanksgiving Day, it will have affected an estimated 58 million people, according to Weather Channel reports.
