UStream Feeds the Web's Narcissists

Just as Twitter took off after an appearance at the SXSW conference, it looks like some bloggers are trying to generate some buzz for the live video streaming site UStream by filming themselves at the Web 2.0 Expo.

The live streaming trend (fad?) among geeks began with Justin.tv, who is filming his life 24/7 with a camera attached to his head. Among the bloggers who will be using the tech at the expo - Robert Scoble, who will be streaming video from the lobby on Monday, along with fellow PodTech.net employee Jeremiah Owyang. Chris Pirillo has also been playing around with it.

As Mathew Ingram points out, all this Twittering, UStreaming and Stickaming is narcissism taken to the max. Hence, time for a critical update the history of blogging, cat edition...
