Valentine's Day doesn't always go as planned. Sometimes that bouquet of flowers shows up dead. Strawberries show up rotten. And cucumbers dress up as ... dildos?
It just doesn't always work out.
1-800-Flowers is familiar with this. After it failed to meet some customers' expectations last year, the company pledged to do better. And while the Tweetstorm appears to have subsided in 2016, people rose through the optimism and found a way to be disappointed. Not only with the floral delivery service, but with a handful of other companies as well.
"With the February season, at times, delivering perishable gifts can be a challenge with extreme weather, but, this is a very small percentage and we are committed to taking care of our customers," Yanique Woodall of 1-800-Flowers told Mashable.
