ValueClick shares have climbed 16% over the past two days as rumors have surfaced that AOL may be interested in acquiring the largest remaining independent online ad network. It has been an incredibly busy year for online advertising acquisitions, with Google buying Doubleclick, Yahoo acquiring Right Media, and Microsoft purchasing aQuantive, among a slew of other deals.
