Veodia is a new video streaming service that is currently in limited beta.

The Veodia service allows you to create streaming video content that you can place on your website or blog. Videos can be made available for on-demand archives once a streaming episode is complete, and allows you to retain full copyright and distribution. This differs from webam and streaming communities like Stickam. Veodia provides a solution for individual users that aims to streamline the process of creating a video and placing it online, in a professional manner. Other features in their beta launch include a TypePad plug-in, embed code, stream to 3G phones, automatic video podcast feed generation for iTunes and Apple TV, and comprehensive viewer tracking reports.

Veodia currently requires Quicktime for viewers, and allows up to 100 people to view the live stream at once. Veodia plans to include MacOS X support soon. It offers a way to take the autonomy and broadcasting capabilities that we see in other sites such as YouCams, and allows you to present that on a more personal basis. Veodia presents itself as a professional blogger and business tool, but I can see a lot of ambitious and talented people from a very broad range taking advantage of a service like this, which lets you stream live from your own website.
