The end-of-the-year numbers are in for Veoh, and it looks like the site is doing all right for itself. The traffic for the site has seen a fairly steady increase since July, and reportedly has a user base of nearly 22 million unique monthly viewers. That's a 20% increase per month for the year of 2007. What Veoh is most proud of, however, is the level of engagement users have while visiting the site. An average of 80 minutes per month makes Veoh a good target for marketing purposes.

Some of Veoh's success can be attributed to its VeohTV beta application, which brings a more TV-like experience to your computer. With remote control and DVR capabilities, users can bypass many of the stand alone services that have not yet moved into the IPTV realm or are just now beginning to make an entrant into the growing market. Veoh does in fact attribute the majority of its success to its overall TV-like experience, which lets users work within the parameters of which they're already comfortable, and can find good content.

The trend for online video viewing taking place during regular prime time hours is a growing one across several platforms, though the overall trend still seems to show that most of online video-viewing takes place just before prime time.
