New Verizon Commercial Puts Foursquare Center Stage [VIDEO]

Verizon has released a new commercial centered around the hot geosocial app Foursquare.

The 30-second spot focuses on a young girl with her Motorola Droid walking through the streets, checking in on Foursquare. All the while, wireless tower after tower come out of the walls, streets and cars around her.

While Foursquare is never specifically mentioned in this commercial, there's no doubt it's the Android version of the popular geolocation app on display. Foursquare told us that they gave Verizon permission to use its logos and screenshots and showed them the storyboards for the commercial. It's a major win for the NYC-based startup, as it gives the service more exposure and buzz.

We have a sneaking suspicion that this won't be the last commercial to feature Foursquare. Until then though, here's the Verizon commercial for your viewing pleasure:
