'Veronica Mars' Movie Sneak Peek Unveiled at Comic-Con

A long time ago, Veronica Mars aired on UPN only to be taken off television, way too early, three seasons later in 2007. Fast forward to the present, and the first look at the Kickstarter-backed Veronica Mars movie has been revealed at Comic-Con.

Creator Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell sat on Friday's panel, along with various other cast members from the beloved, yet cancelled, television series. The first look video (above) includes behind the scenes interviews and footage from the film.

It looks like everyone's back together for a Neptune High School reunion and someone needs Veronica's help with a case. Familiar faces are present, including Mac, Dick and Wallace. And of course, Veronica still has her quick wit and loveable sass.

The long awaited Veronica Mars movie came into fruition with the help of an overwhelmingly successful Kickstarter campaign--the most widely supported project in Kickstarter history. It garnered 91,585 backers and raised $5,702,153, millions more than its $2 million goal.

Veronica Mars is expected to hit theaters in early 2014.
