Veterans John Middaugh and Bill Warner served together in Vietnam and forged an everlasting bond. Both are Purple Hear recipients and over the years and miles, they stayed in touch and got together for reunions. When Warner needed a kidney, Middaugh offered to give one of his. Middaugh has been released from NewYork-Presbyterian and Warner remains hospitalized in good condition. [Additional reporting by The Associated Press]
