Streams and tweets will count as votes when VH1 pits 11 artists from "You Oughta Know," its franchise that promotes fresh voices, against each other to determine the fan favorite from this year's crop of newcomers.

To determine the winner, VH1 is using Spotify and Twitter as the voting platforms. Starting Tuesday and lasting until Nov. 13, each time someone listens to a track from the 11 artists it will count as a vote. Fans can also vote using hashtags on Twitter (see below).

Here are the 11 artists competing for your Spotify streams and tweets. The pool will be narrowed down to three finalists on Nov. 13, the same day one will be crowned the "You Oughta Know Artist of the Year" during a televised concert from New York City.
