VibeAgent, a new hotel search tool that's still in private beta, has raised a round of seed funding for an undisclosed amount. It's also appointing Trip Davis, President and CEO of TRX Inc. to its Board of Directors.
VibeAgent will be a community of sorts, where users can submit hotel reviews and recommendations. This database is searchable and will provide you with a personalized list of hotel recommendations in a ranked search results list, ordered by preferences. VibesAgent will also do a meta-search of hotel information worldwide, offering options for booking hotels at discounted prices. Davis' experience in the travel industry comes from his work with TRX, a technology company that provides transaction processing and data integration services for travel agencies and others. This experience will no doubt aid VibeAgent a great deal as a start-up in this crowded space.
