Online content creators and fans are already marking their calendars for the seventh annual VidCon.
Organizers behind the popular three-day digital content conference announced Wednesday that next year's event will take place June 23-25 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The annual conference, co-created by YouTubers Hank Green and his brother John (author of the book The Fault in Our Stars), has become the go-to gathering for industry executives, video content creators and their fans.

Last year, a whopping 20,000 people flocked to the conference. By comparison, the first VidCon held in 2010 drew in about 1,400 attendees.
Following VidCon's success, others have created similar conferences, most recently Stream Con in New York City, to build on the momentum of the rapidly evolving digital video landscape.
The growth in popularity of such events is a testament to the success of online video content.
VidCon has become an opportunity for major industry players -- including YouTube and competitors Vimeo, Vessel and Facebook Video -- to showcase their platforms and attract creators.
The event is also critical for thousands of fans who want to meet or learn from their favorite digital stars at panels. Last year, topics ranged from “Building Audiences on Twitter and Vine” to “YouTube Optimization and Audience Development.”
Super early bird ticket sales cost $100 for community members, $150 for creators and $500 for industry members.
Fans are (obviously) already excited.
