VideoEgg - WPP, the communications services group, has made a strategic investment in VideoEgg, the video platform that also runs its own ad network. The amount was not disclosed. WPP is also an investor in SpotRunner. (via)

Portfolio.com - Portfolio is the new business magazine being launched by Conde Nast. There are versions on the web and in print, and the total cost to launch is a massive $125 million. Early feedback is good.

Particls - Particls is the new name for Touchstone, an attention management system that we've tested, but never reviewed, if I remember correctly. It's essentially an application that watches the information you consume and uses that to make recommendations - it's also supporting APML, a new format that lets you import and export this attention metadata in the same way that you can currently import and export a list of RSS feeds (aka an OPML file) between RSS readers. If that's not enough jargon for you already, also note that Particls has launched a special version for the Web 2.0 Expo, all set up to keep you in tune with happenings at that veritable geekfest.
