Before NBA legend Vince Carter was a dunk-bricker, he threw down the greatest slam of all-time.

Before that, the young Carter was a Toronto Raptors sensation known in the late 90s simply as "Vinsanity." With its 2016 All-Star game tipping off in Toronto this Sunday, the NBA honored Carter's time as a Raptor by posting his ultimate early-career highlight mixtape to YouTube. It's embedded atop this post.

Touching the top of the backboard pre-game? Check. One-handed 360-degree dunks? Check. Sky-walking finger rolls? Humiliated defenders? Dunk contest heroics? Check, check and check. This highlight reel has it all.

Carter, now with the Memphis Grizzlies, is currently in his 18th NBA season. He can still make some things happen at age 39, but his early stint in Toronto remains one of the most scintillating era of eye-popping feats any player has ever enjoyed. He played in Toronto from 1998-2004.

Now that early Vinsanity era is distilled into the video above. It might just be the most enjoyable five minutes of your day. Meanwhile, if you're not sure what's up with this whole basketball mixtape thing, all is revealed here.
