If you love social media, chances are Vine, the looped video app, lives on your phone.
After Twitter acquired Vine in October 2012, the video sharing service made its way to the top after seven short months. It became the most downloaded free app in the Apple store in April 2013.

Today, Vine has exceeded 40 million registered users -- more than half of whom are female, with the largest age group ranging from 18 to 20 years old. Five Vine links are tweeted every second, with weekends being the most popular time to share Vine posts.
