Could Vinyl be HBO's next big hit?

The network is certainly making a bet that it is -- because it's sort of hard to bet against a series that is produced by Martin Scorsese, Mick Jagger and Terence Winter.

But you can be your own judge by checking out the first teaser trailer for the series above.

The 10-episode drama series is set in 1970s New York and follows the story of troubled record label president Richie Finestra (Bobby Cannavale) as he navigates the "sex- and drug-addled music business at the dawn of punk, disco, and hip-hop," according to a network description.

The series stars Cannavale, Olivia Wilde, and Ray Romano, as well as Jagger's son James, who plays a character not unlike his famous father.

"This is not a story of the Rolling Stones or Mick Jagger, although you will see someone in the series that looks startlingly close to Mick," HBO president Michael Lombardo told reporters last week.

The show debuts in 2016.
