Viola Davis ruled Emmys night in more ways than one.

The Best Actress winner and her epic speech were the night's most talked about moments on both Facebook and Twitter, according to both sites. Davis became the first black actress to win the award for lead actress in a drama. She accepted her award with a rousing speech, quoting Harriet Tubman and dedicating it to women of color who had paved the way.
