Holiday surprises are all the rage in travel company advertising these days.

The latest stunt is from Virgin Atlantic. Santa "landed" on a trans-Atlantic flight to surprise passengers with gifts on Dec. 21.

The airline invited passengers to use NORAD's Santa Tracker while on the flight.

The pilot announced they would be looking out for the sleigh, but passengers on the 787 Dreamliner were in for more than a visit from jolly Old Saint Nick: The airline surprised travelers with Windows tablets and a chat with Santa. There were also competitions in-flight for game systems and other devices.
