Voxant, a provider of licensed news content to websites, has named Marcien Jenckes, formerly of AOL, as it's new Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Jenckes was the Senior Vice President of Messaging Community, Voice at AOL.  This included overseeing their messaging brands, AIM and ICQ, and was also responsible for some of their web launches.  At Voxant, he will be assisting in their endeavors to push their content out to even more venues, something he seems very excited about.  "Voxant's distribution network is uniquely suited as a two-way information flow," he said, "pushing fully licensed news content out to Web publishers while gathering rich intelligence and data about these niche communities and end users."
