The faces people make while wearing VR headsets are insanely awkward

You don't have to walk around this year's booths at E3 for long before you realize that virtual and augmented reality gaming is the next big thing. There are dozens of demos that people can try out ranging from boxing matches to shooting digital roman candles at each other.

The hardware that is bringing VR to the masses is a technical wonder. Strapping on a headset, a pair of headphones and maybe even some gloves is well worth the effort to experience a whole new world.

But while you might be getting ready to pilot a pixel-based ship into space battle, the rest of us are watching you make an astoundingly awkward face in the middle of a crowded trade show. So keep killing those aliens and traversing those mountainous cliffs in a virtual world, because we're all waiting to see if you fall off of that chair.
