Veveo, a company whose objective is to establish relations with content owners and distributors, from TV entities to mobile operators to consumer electronics manufacturers, not too long ago launched a Web video service called vTap, and today it announced a new partnership in which owners of Sony Ericsson handsets, by accessing the company’s Fun & Downloads web portal, can view a library of Web video with “over 150 million” clips formatted to be viewed on mobile screens.

Veveo promises to soon offer vTap support for devices installed with Java Platform 7 (JP7), like the W880i, K810, T650, K530i, W580i, K770i, W660i. The company claims vTap will support English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish languages. The service is also compatible with several Nokia N-Series smartphones, including the N73 and N95, as well as a number of Samsung, Sanyo, Motorola, and LG devices. Windows Mobile users can access vTap as well. Last but not least, an iPhone/iPod touch-friendly website is operational, too.
