Here’s a bit of news for digital music fans to parse. According to an SEC 10-Q filing for the second quarter of 2008 and issued last Thursday, Warner Music Group made cash investments in two Web-based services: Imeem ($15 million) and Lala ($20m).
Warner’s history with online music sites has not always been a bullish one. If one were to review the last 12-14 months for the corporation, one would see that, prior an agreement made with Imeem in July, it sued the website, calling it an “infringer” of copyrights.
