D.C. prepares for a possibly historic blizzard

The Washington D.C. area is preparing for what could be its biggest snowfall in years. And even though the flakes won’t be falling until Friday, a small dusting Wednesday evening from a separate weather system paralyzed transit, and left thousands stuck in traffic for hours. The inch that accumulated Wednesday night is only a preview of the possible 2 feet that might fall in some areas.
