Motorola is holding an event today in New York City. Called “Motorola on Display,” the event is rumored to be the launching ground for the company’s newest handset, a new version of the Droid Razr with a high-definition display.

Sporting an exceptionally similar design to Motorola’s Droid Razr and Atrix HD, the handset has an 8-megapixel rear-facing and 3-megapixel forward-facing camera and 8GB of built-in storage.
Running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the phone will also have support for LTE and HSPA+ networks as well as near-field communication (NFC).

Today’s event is being put on in partnership with Verizon, which has exclusivity on the ‘Droid’ name. Motorola has also promised "surprises" at the event that "you will not want to miss."
