Wazap, the search engine for games, has launched its service in the U.S. German-based Wazap was previously available only in Germany, Japan and China. Wazap has raised nearly $12 million fom Partech International and Wellington Partners.

Games are searchable by console, title, maker, and a number of other categories. Filter by rating, release date or popularity, and get additional details regarding the game as well as comments. See what others have said about different games, and get further ratings information from editorial content such as magazines. The specifics of each game breaks down into things like cheat information and links to other news sources and articles.

Wazap has incorporated some community features to its service, enabling you to keep a basic profile, see others' profiles and find out the games they're following. You can also keep track of games you've rated, commented on and bookmarked. These additional community features is what differentiates Wazap from its competitors.

Unfortunately, the social and rating features are running a bit slow right now.
