LONDON -- Just when we thought there were no original ways left to propose, someone in the UK has discovered a novel, and incredibly geeky, way to pop the question.

Computer scientist and author Sue Black's fiancé Paul sent her an encrypted proposal on Feb. 29. It read:

21,23vl9!37ag9"?az

It sounds like nonsense, but run through a decryption machine it comes out as "Will you marry me," according to the screenshot Sue tweeted along with the hashtag #enigmaweddingproposal Tuesday.

So this happened last night I said yes #enigmaweddingproposal pic.twitter.com/H17aeqZfTN— Dr Sue Black OBE (@Dr_Black) March 1, 2016

Thankfully, Sue didn't need to spend hours decoding the message. A simple click and she knew what Paul was after. She said yes, of course.

I didn't know what the message was, Paul told me to click 'decrypt' and when I did the message appeared #enigmaweddingproposal— Dr Sue Black OBE (@Dr_Black) March 1, 2016

Black, who has just released a book about Bletchley Park, was immediately congratulated by friends and colleagues.

A BIG congrats to an amazing person https://t.co/scFWtpb383— Ghanem Nuseibeh ن (@gnuseibeh) March 1, 2016
