The Weeknd had one thing working against him when he took the stage at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards: a lot of people were primed to see Lauryn Hill, a rumored guest.
Hill didn't show. Instead, the R&B singer -- already a Grammy winner Monday night for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best R&B Performance -- kicked things off with an electrifying performance of "Can't Feel My Face" before slowing down and taking a little bit of the "Billie Jean" out of "In the Night." He earned a standing ovation from much of the crowd, but the performance still felt like it was missing something-- and someone.
