Anthony Weiner, the politician whose social media screw-up led to his resignation from Congress, has made a return to Twitter Wednesday.

The former congressman sent a tweet Wednesday morning simply linking to a YouTube clip of Hurricane Sandy damage in the Rockaways in New York.

youtube.com/watch?v=olFory…— Anthony Weiner (@RepWeiner) November 7, 2012

Weiner hadn't tweeted from the account in 18 months. This is the last tweet he sent prior to Wednesday's message:

On with Rachel tonight.Gonna talk about Trump eating pizza with a fork! #DudeYoureANewYorker!— Anthony Weiner (@RepWeiner) June 2, 2011

His Twitter silence began after a scandal broke in 2011 revealing that Weiner had sent lewd images over the social network. Weiner stepped down from office soon after, and the moment will go down as maybe the biggest political Twitter-oops of the century.
