Filmmaker Wes Anderson really has a thing for symmetry.

In case you've been too distracted by his quirky film plots to notice, Vimeo user Kogonada spliced together several clips from Anderson's career, inserting a simple dotted line in the center to point out his increasing obsession with the middle of the frame.

The filmmaker is already known for his films' stylized color palettes, but over the years, this framing trend has slowly become increasingly noticeable. The supercut includes clips from Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums and The Grand Budapest Hotel, as well as his foray into stop-motion with The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Even when moving the camera between shots, the perspective always settles back to the center. Take a look for yourself.
