It started as nothing but a soccer fan's cheeky pre-match guarantee. Now, through surprising circumstance and the integrity of his word, it will remain inked into the fan's butt-cheek for time immemorial.
The new English Premier League season kicked off over the weekend, including a matchup between lowly West Ham and mighty Arsenal. And that's where our story begins, with one West Ham fan logging on to Twitter to make the world a simple promise: If West Ham could somehow beat Arsenal to start the season, he'd get the score and date tattooed onto his corpus.

Here's the tweet in question from our protagonist, a young man whose Twitter bio simply identifies him as "Waller":
If West Ham beat arsenal today I WILL get the score line and date tattoo'd on me— Waller ⚒ (@waller_whu) August 9, 2015
Plot twist: West Ham actually did beat Arsenal 2-0 in London on Sunday, to get the Premier League season off to a rather stunning start.
Let's check in with Waller. Oh my -- it would appear he's a man of his word:

(WARNING: Some serious man-crack ahead)
Here's a photo a friend of Waller posted of him under the tattoo gun:

It's all there: The final line, when West Ham's Cheikhou Kouyaté and Mauro Zárate scored for the visitors, and the date -- August 9, 2015 -- that will forever live in infamy on Waller's bum.
To which our hero could only say:
What a day— Waller ⚒ (@waller_whu) August 10, 2015
And we can only reply: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
