In this Ask A Dev, Android engineer Eric Brynsvold gives us an in-depth explanation of deep linking and why it will be valuable to both Android and iOS developers in the future.

Brynsvold starts things off with an overview of how deep linking works on Android and iOS -- that is, once iOS 9 is released. He also touches on the area where both platforms are currently lacking, leading users directly to app downloads.

That's where third-party solutions like Branch come in. Branch is a program developers can use to configure their app's various destination links, but Brynsvold provides a deeper explanation of how the whole thing works toward the end of this Ask A Dev. Enjoy!
