Rey has disappeared to a galaxy far, far away from the merchandise set for Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Fans of the franchise have noticed that the character, played by Daisy Ridley, apparently isn't included in several Star Wars toy sets being sold in stores like Target and Toys "R" Us. Twitter users have started the hashag #WheresRey, demanding to know why one of the film's main female characters is missing.

Hey, @Target includes female characters in their exclusives...when they're dinosaurs. #WheresRey @HeroicGirls pic.twitter.com/0zJSQSjkbZ— Jen Mayhew (@JenM512) November 9, 2015
It wouldn't be the first time major female characters have been left out of the merchandising game.
Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson, was frequently missing from Avengers merchandise sold this spring, while Gamora, played by Zoe Saldana, was excluded from so much Guardians of the Galaxy merch that fans were inspired to ask for her using the hashtag #WheresGamora.

Your fans deserve better. Don't leave out your female main character to pander to the least common denominator @Hasbro @Target #WheresRey— Aimie Runyan (@aimiekrunyan) November 12, 2015
Are you INSANE @Target @Hasbro? The main characters of the film are girls! You give us random pilots?? #WheresRey https://t.co/G8WTRu8CVa— Lance Stahlberg (@LRStahlberg) November 11, 2015
For the record, some fans have also pointed that there are Rey figures out there -- although they do appear to be only solo toys, rather than figures included in larger toy sets.
