Khiesti's whimsical doodles have garnered more than 120,000 followers on Instagram and inspired followers to sift through their own junk drawers.
The artist told Mashable that she finds inspiration all around her. "Flowers, plants, food, things from my work or sometimes a word that someone says to me or a question my son asks me. And suddenly the picture or the inspiration is in my head. I often see worlds in little things."
After an apricot or toy dinosaur triggers an idea, Khiesti grabs her iPhone 4S and a sheet of white paper to create a new work.
