LAS VEGAS -- Touchscreen everything and complete personalization. That's how Whirlpool imagines how your kitchen will look in just a few years.

At CES this week, the company is showing off a smart kitchen concept that recognizes who's in the room and puts everything they need on a touchscreen display above the stove.

In a demo shown to Mashable -- and featured in the video above -- the kitchen syncs up with the family’s schedule, allowing members to see a to-do list, the school bus' ETA (via a GPS stream) and tips on making a healthier bagged lunch.

The smart stove senses what's resting on top, such as a coffee cup, and will heat it to the perfect temperature. Meanwhile, the baby monitor syncs up with the display, so you can check in on the little one as you cook. It also keeps tabs on how long he or she's been down for a nap.

While this may seem a bit far-fetched, all of these technologies are already available in some form, but together, in the future, it will create something pretty powerful at home.
