Whiskipedia - Where Alcoholics Go To Know

[img src="" caption="" credit="" alt=""]Oh, man, the jokes just keep on coming. Whiskipedia - as the name implies - is encyclopedia of booze; more precisely, whisky, but it covers all alcoholic beverages.

Unfortunately, currently it kinda sucks. The form is familiarly wikipedian, but the content is severely lacking. I've started my inquiry into the wonderful world of alcohol with the following query: "four roses", but to my woe, it came up with nothing. OK, I thought, it's bourbon, not whisky, cut the guys some slack, and typed "ballantine's". Still nothing. At this point I've gotten really disappointed and drank a couple of beers to drown my sorrows.

To its credit, the site does have some information on types of whisky, but let's be honest here, actual Wikipedia has a thousand times more info on booze, not to mention all that other stuff it covers. It's the old wikipedian conundrum: does it make any sense to create your own wiki on a subject if you're not going to do it better than Wikipedia? We say: no. Good name, though.
