Ahead of Monday's official Easter Egg Roll, the White House has shared the above video which celebrates 138 years of the traditional spring event.

The Easter Monday activity has been a presidential tradition since 1878 when the first roll took place under President Rutherford B. Hayes. The video touches on a few moments from the event's history, including the desegregation of the event under the Eisenhower administration and why the event no longer uses real eggs.

No matter what happens Monday, chances are it'll be much smoother than last year's bee-deviled affair.
