The White House debuted its newly decked halls on Wednesday in preparations for the holiday season.

But one part of the decorations -- an army of grinning snowmen -- left people a bit distracted. They see you when you're sleeping; they know when you're awake.

Journalist Judy Kurtz tweeted a photo of the snowmen peering into the White House -- and your soul -- from the lawn. And she wasn't the only one.

The White House is known for going all out for holiday decor. This year, the decorations include 62 trees and over 70,000 ornaments on the grounds. There is also a 500 lb. gingerbread house on display. First Lady Michelle Obama gave military family members and some journalists an early preview of the decorations.

The Obamas' dogs, Bo and Sunny, even got in on the action by entertaining some of the kids in attendance. The White House will hold an official Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Thursday night.
